How to market for FSBO:

For selling your property - your home, land, house, townhouse, apartment, ranch, farm, raw land, condo, etc. in the market through FSBO (for sale by owner), only pricing the property appropriately is not enough. What is more important is how you have planned about going hitting the market with your property so that it gets the best exposure for the potential buyers to actually see.

The first step towards hitting the market is by putting up an advertising board in front of your house. You should be judicious enough to make this sign elaborate enough to give onlookers a fair idea of what exactly they are looking for, and interesting enough that they meet you up to know the remaining information about your house.

Some parts of the country are so hot for the real estate market that you would simply need to keep a FSBO sign in the front of your house and start getting prospective calls. However, it is better to keep directional signs (“home for sale by owner” with an arrow) at busy intersections leading the way to your property.

Classified ads in local newspapers are also a good idea which is not expensive. Bulletin Boards and Posters are also a good place to post notices of your real estate properties availability. Put your ad in the “For Sale By Owner” type Magazines & Community Publications. Brochures are also useful method for marketing your house. And now the newest and fastest way, put your property’s photos, information etc. on some Internet sites on which FSBOs may list their properties for sale.
